Laurence Daures (formerly Lescourret) is associate professor of Finance at ESSEC Business School. Her research lies in the area of microstructure of financial markets, with a focus on price formation in dealer markets and market fragmentation. Laurence received the PhD Thesis Award in 2004 from the French Finance Association and the National Foundation for Companies Management Academic Education (FNEGE), the "Josseph de la Vega Prize" in 2013 (with Sophie Moinas, Toulouse School of Economics) and the IFSID (Montreal Institute of Structured Finance and Derivatives) award for the best paper on Derivatives in 2015 (with Andras Fulop, ESSEC Business School). She received several research grants from Europlace (2020, 2010, 2008), Euronext Paris (2007) , the French National Research Agency (Lancelot, 2011),  and the Initiative d’Excellence Paris-Seine (ANR-16-IDEX-000836, 2018).

She is independent director of the board of Dassault Systèmes (3DS) and of LCL. She is the lead independent director of 3DS, chairs the compensation and nomination committee, and sits in the audit committee of 3DS. She chairs the audit committee of LCL and sits in the risk committee. Laurence holds a PhD in Finance from HEC Paris.
